Ang Lee’s Gemini Man Trailer Starring Will Smith

With Aladdin set to hit theatres next month, Paramount has released the first trailer for Will Smith’s other big blockbuster of 2019: Gemini Man. Directed by Ang Lee, this is a high-concept sci-fi thriller that has been in development for years with tons of different screenwriters doing rewrites including Jonathan Hensleigh, Andrew Niccol, Billy Ray and David Benioff. The movie revolves around an aging hitman who finds himself facing off against a younger clone of himself. It does sound a bit like Looper minus the time travel, but this is also a big budget Jerry Bruckheimer-produced action extravaganza so it will be interesting to see if it goes beyond surface level spectacle. Gemini Man co-stars Clive Owen, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Benedict Wong and it hits theatres on Oct. 11th. Check out the first trailer below and let us know what you think.

    Interesting..we will have ‘de-aged’ Will Smith interacting with present day Will Smith. Hope Ang Lee can pull this off!

    The motorcycle flip/explosion and de-aging looks absolutely terrible. It may be a fun movie, but I would first have to get over how bad the special effects look.
