It may seem hard to believe but some 13 years after HBO opted not to pick up a fourth season of Deadwood, the inhabitants of Deadwood, South Dakota will finally get some closure. There have been rumours about a Deadwood movie for years and now it is actually happening with the first teaser trailer arriving this week. Almost the entire cast is returning with the exception of a few actors that have since passed away (Powers Boothe and Ralph Richeson) and one who was tied up with another TV series (Titus Welliver). Written by David Milch and directed by Daniel Minahan, the movie will supposedly pick up 10 years later with the residents reuniting to celebrate South Dakota’s statehood.
