After the success of the first two seasons, it is pretty clear that Stranger Things has become one of Netflix’s most valuable original properties and they have responded this year by giving season 3 a summer blockbuster release date. The first trailer indicates that the new season will take place in the summer as well (the summer of 1985, to be exact). The kids are now teenagers doing teenager-y things and it serves a reminder that this will be a Harry Potter-type situation where we get to watch them all grow up on screen. As for what else is happening in Hawkins this season, well, it looks like there might be some even bigger beasties running around town (shocking, I know). Stranger Things: Season 3 arrives on Netflix on July 4th; check out the first trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
