New to Theatres This Weekend: Captive State, Wonder Park, Five Feet Apart

We’ve got three major releases hitting theatres this weekend, although none will come close to matching the continued marketing might of Captain Marvel. Paramount’s animated film Wonder Park should be the biggest of the bunch, providing family audiences with an alternative to How to Train Your Dragon 3, while Rupert Wyatt’s sci-fi film Captive State seems to be getting dumped by Focus Features with a distinct lack of marketing and reviews. Also in wide release we have the tragic teen romance Five Feet Apart. In select theatres, look for the Spanish comedy No Manches Frida 2, The Hummingbird Project starring Jesse Eisenberg and Alexander Skarsgard, and Idris Elba’s directorial debut Yardie.
