Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman Teaser Trailer

Although Netflix didn’t drop The Irishman in its entirety after the Super Bowl like some people were hoping, they did drop the first teaser for Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film during the Oscars last night. The teaser really doesn’t show anything other than some titles and a CG bullet, but there is at least some audio from the movie to get you excited. The movie finds Scorsese returning to familiar territory and revolves around the true story of Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, a hitman for the mob who was supposedly involved in Jimmy Hoffa’s death. More importantly, it also finds Scorsese reteaming with Robert DeNiro, Harvey Keitel and Joe Pesci with Al Pacino joining in as well… need we say more? The Irishman hits theatres and arrives on Netflix this fall; check out the teaser after the jump and see what you think.

Also Steven Zaillian! This might be pretty good.

Is it a reteaming with Pacino? I don’t recall them ever working together. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

  • Sean

No you’re right. Pacino and DeNiro are reteaming but not Scorsese and Pacino. I guess that is worded wrong. Should have mentioned Harvey Keitel too.

    EDIT: Fixed it. Thanks! :)

It’s actually pretty amazing that they never worked together up until now, considering how the type of films they made in the 70’s and 80’s was so similiar.

I like the titles, but don’t quite understand the controversy.
