After over a decade spent in development hell, the movie adaptation of Motley Crue’s autobiography The Dirt is finally about to be unleashed on the world. The project started life at MTV before moving to Focus Features and finally ending up at Netflix, which seems like the appropriate home for such a notorious tale. The movie is directed by Jeff Tremaine (Jackass) and stars Douglas Booth, Iwan Rheon, Machine Gun Kelly and Daniel Webber as Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, Tommy Lee and Vince Neil respectively (Liam Hemsworth and Emory Cohen were previously rumoured for lead roles but never ended up signing on). Will this be the kind of no holds barred musical biopic that Bohemian Rhapsody should have been? The Dirt arrives globally on Netflix on March 22nd; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
