New to Theatres This Weekend: Serenity, The Kid Who Would Be King, Never Look Away

It’s another low key January weekend with two major releases arriving in theatres but both looking unlikely to put much of a dent in the box office. The Matthew McConaughey / Anne Hathaway thriller Serenity seems to be generating some “interesting” opinions from critics to say the least, but it is expected to mostly fly under the radar along with Joe Cornish’s original YA fantasy film The Kid Who Would Be King. In select theatres, we also have Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s Oscar nominated drama Never Look Away and Russell Mulcahy’s Errol Flynn biopic In Like Flynn. What will you be watching this weekend?
