This year’s Sundance Film Festival is officially underway in Park City this weekend and one of the movies that people are already talking about ahead of its premiere is the Ted Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. Zac Efron plays the notorious serial killer in a performance that clearly explores the dual nature of a man who had the ability to be both charming and romantic while also committing horrific murders. Lily Collins plays his long-time girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer and the movie seems to take place mostly from her perspective. Based on a Black List script by Michael Werwie, the movie is directed by documentary filmmaker Joe Berlinger (Paradise Lost, Metallica: Some Kind of Monster) and co-stars Jim Parsons and John Malkovich. Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile does not yet have a theatrical release date but it premieres at Sundance on Saturday; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
