The first highly anticipated release of the year hits theatres this weekend as M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass arrives, concluding an unlikely trilogy that began with Unbreakable and Split. The movie is on track to be one of the biggest January debuts ever, although mixed reviews could potentially hold it back (especially if audiences end up agreeing with critics on this one). The only other sort of major release is the animated film Dragon Ball Super: Broly, which opened on over 1000 screens on Wednesday night but is continuing to play in a smaller number of theatres throughout the weekend. In limited release, we also have Paraguayan drama The Heiresses, Joe Chappelle’s thriller An Acceptable Loss and Adult Life Skills starring Jodie Whittaker. What will you be watching this weekend?
