After directing Denzel Washington in the 2017 legal drama Roman J. Israel, Esq., Dan Gilroy is once again returning to Nightcrawler territory with what looks to be another deranged thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Set in the Los Angeles art world, this one seems to dip more directly into the horror genre but it also still contains a satirical edge. With a supporting cast that includes Rene Russo, Toni Collette, John Malkovich, Natalia Dyer, Billy Magnussen and Daveed Diggs, the film premieres at Sundance later this month. The best part, however, is that it also arrives on Netflix almost immediately afterward. Velvet Buzzsaw hits Netflix on Feb. 1st; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
