Men in Black International Trailer

While Will Smith has been off playing Genie for Disney, Sony has finally decided to reboot the Men in Black franchise without him. The first trailer for the new film, entitled Men in Black International, has arrived online this week and it actually looks like it has potential. Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson play the new Agents H and M respectively, while Emma Thompson reprises her role from MIB 3 to provide some minor continuity from the previous trilogy. Liam Neeson, Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani and Rafe Spall also co-star. At the very least, Hemsworth and Thompson have some decent chemistry together (as seen in Thor: Ragnarok) and with F. Gary Gray (The Fate of the Furious, The Italian Job) at the helm, this installment may up the ante a bit in terms of action as well. Men in Black International hits theatres on June 14th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

Around the Web:

  • I wish Hemsworth would just stop trying to be funny.

Could win an award for having the Most Annoying Song Ever to Feature in a Trailer, otherwise it looks cute. I would also like to thank Sony for giving it a distinct title so that it will not be confused with the original by the growing demographic of people who are under the impression cinema began circa 2010.

    Too old. No interest.

I’m sorry, coming from a point of view where Will Smith was anything EXCEPT the epitome of “cool” this holds no nostalgic value, which would be the only driver to see a film this incredibly lame.
