Hellboy Trailer Starring David Harbour

At long last, the first trailer for the upcoming Hellboy reboot has arrived online. Was it worth the wait? Eh… not really. The movie finds Stranger Things star David Harbour stepping into the role previously played by Ron Perlman and although he clearly has the physicality and voice, there is a certain twinkle in the eye that seems to be missing. And of course, without Guillermo Del Toro in the director’s chair the production design also feels a bit cheap and CG heavy, but the upside is that it is more gory, horrific and R-rated than the previous films, so I guess there’s that. Hellboy is directed by Neil Marshall and co-stars Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Sasha Lane and Daniel Dae Kim and it hits theatres on April 12th.   • This is just BAH-ROO-TAHL!!! Looks more like a STARZ original series than a major motion picture and why does HB look like he had major skin grafts all over his face? I love these comics, but boy is this a major step-down from GDT.

    Why does his big hand look so fake? Like, it’s terrible. It looks like something a cosplayer would make themselves for a convention.

    Awful, just awful. To go from Golden Army, which might have the best production design of any comicbook movie in history, to this cheap knockoff junk, and shitty post-modern Marvel jokes. Ugh

    Why make an R-rated Hellboy movie if you’re just keeping it light-hearted a packed with jokes?
    Just make a Hellboy 3 if you want to go that route.
    I don’t get the point of this reboot, I thought it would be more like the comics.
