Halloween Trailer #2

David Gordon Green’s Halloween is just a few days away from making its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and this week Universal has released a brand new trailer to help intensify the hype. The movie is positioned as a sequel to the original 1978 film, essentially ignoring the other franchise entries and bringing back Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode. It is pretty clear from this trailer that she has spent the last 40 years preparing for her inevitable rematch with Michael Myers and she does not intend to lose. It certainly feels legit, but can The Shape still terrify us after all these years? If you still need convincing, there is also a new international trailer that shows even more new footage. Halloween hits theatres on Oct. 19th; check out the new trailer(s) after the jump and see what you think.

Yes I am pretty sure it ignores Halloween II as well.

I will be seeing a few things at TIFF this year (including Halloween) but Jay and Frank couldn’t fit it into their schedules unfortunately.
