First Official Photos from Captain Marvel

Now that the summer movie season is officially over and most Marvel fans have had a chance to digest The Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp, the attention is now shifting to Marvel’s first film of 2019: Captain Marvel. Entertainment Weekly has released the first official batch of photos from the movie, giving us our first look at Brie Larson in costume as the MCU’s most powerful hero and introducing us to some other new characters as well. Among them: Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Jude Law as Mar-Vell (unofficially), Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau aka Photon, and Ben Mendelsohn as Skrull leader Talos. This is a prequel that takes place in the ’90s (you can tell because Carol Danvers is wearing a NIN shirt). Are you looking forward to Captain Marvel? The movie hits theatres on March 8th; check out the rest of the photos after the jump.
