Chance the Rapper will make his big screen debut later this year in the upcoming horror-comedy Slice, a movie described as “the story of a ghost, a werewolf, and a pretty shitty pizza place.” Written and directed by frequent collaborator Austin Vesely, who previously directed several of Chance’s music videos, it also co-stars Zazie Beetz, Paul Scheer and Joe Keery (Stranger Things). Based on the first trailer, it looks like this could be the introduction of another unique voice in genre filmmaking, and with A24 releasing it, that seems like another good sign. Slice does not yet have an official release date although there is a good chance it may be premiering somewhere like Fantastic Fest in the near future.
