Arizona Trailer Starring Danny McBride and Rosemarie DeWitt

HBO’s Vice Principals concluded last year after just two seasons, but Danny McBride has since teamed up with Jonathan Watson, a second unit director from that show for a feature film called Arizona. As you might expect, the movie is a dark comedy but this time McBride is playing a disgruntled home owner who kidnaps a real estate agent (played by Rosemarie Dewitt) during the 2009 housing crisis. Kaitlin Olson, Luke Wilson and David Alan Grier also co-star. Based on a script by Luke Del Tredici (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), it premiered at Sundance earlier this year where reviews were somewhat mixed. That might explain why it is now going direct-to-VOD, although that could also mean the movie is just too dark for the average moviegoer. Arizona arrives on Digital HD and VOD on Aug. 24th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
