    Is Answer the Call an official subtitle now for the new Ghostbusters? Does this come on screen, can anyone confirm? Just the first I’m hearing of this. It’s Edge of Tomorrow all over again.

    It does not appear on screen as far as I know. It was definitely introduced for the home video release just like Live. Die. Repeat. was for Edge of Tomorrow. Netflix still just lists it as “Ghostbusters” but the thumbnail image has the Answer the Call subtitle in there. IMDb actually fully lists it as “Ghostbusters: Answer the Call” though with Ghostbusters listed as the “original title”.

    My biggest issue with Ant-Man & The Wasp (and my big issue with JW: FK) is there’s way too many characters/things happening and I couldn’t care less about 90% of it. These blockbusters need to *Dave Coulier voice* Cut. It. Out.

    I need to address Franks ongoing comments about the Math of the Infinity Wars snap, as he’s made a few comments here that surprises me since he’s a Waterloo graduate and I’m a mere Biology grad who has surely taken far fewer Math classes.

    Frank seems to have implied that because there’s so much MORE single celled life, that the ‘snap’ would remove many more of them versus humans. However that’s not the case- a truly random ‘remove half of all individual organisms, indiscriminately’ would still, on average, result in about half of each species dissolving.

    To prove this, let’s imagine a hypothetical excel spreadsheet, where every single organism in the universe has been assigned a unique number. Every bacteria, human, horse, etc. If you were to do a truly random sort of this list so that all of the species were jumbled up, and then you highlighted the first half of the list (the deletion part) there would still on average, be a 50/50 chance that each individual is either above or below the ‘highlight’ line. Therefore, about 50% of the humans should be deleted, just as 50% of the Broccoli, lobsters, bacteria and fungi. There might be some cases, where due to chance, more or less than 50% of a species ended up on one side of the ‘line’, but the larger the population, the greater the likelihood it trends toward a perfect 50/50 split.

    And that’s all true only if the Infinity Gauntlet was using the ‘spreadsheet’ method. It could have specifically isolated each species and then ‘randomly’ selected 50% of each species for deletion. Either way the outcome would mostly be the same.

    I wouldn’t expect it to be lethal, they are bacteria afterall, they can double in 30 minutes. Might cause some issues for some people, but I think nasty cases of the flu or heavy use of antibiotics can already do a number on your gut bacteria.
