Monday Morning Box Office Report: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Nears $1 Billion Globally


In its second weekend of release, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom continued to dominate the box office with an estimated $60 million, dropping 59% from its opening weekend. The movie has now earned $932 million worldwide and will probably cross the $1 billion mark within the next week. Incredibles 2 also continued to perform well, adding another $45 million in its third weekend. In third place, Sicario: Day of the Soldado was the top new release with $19 million, exceeding expectations and surpassing the original film’s wide opening weekend by $7 million. Uncle Drew also had a strong debut in fourth place with $15.5 million, which puts it in the same league as some of the biggest comedies of the year like Game Night and Blockers. Ocean’s 8 rounded out the top 5. Elsewhere, the Bollywood film Sanju opened in eighth place with $2.6 million.
