Tim Burton’s Live-Action Dumbo Teaser Trailer

After kickstarting Disney’s current obsession with live-action remakes of animated classics with Alice in Wonderland, Tim Burton is teaming up with Disney again for a new adaptation of their 1941 classic Dumbo. Danny DeVito plays a circus owner who hires former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) to care for a newborn baby elephant with oversized ears. When they discover that he can fly, however, the show suddenly attracts the attention of enigmatic entrepreneur V. A. Vandemere (Michael Keaton). While some long-time Tim Burton fans will once again be left questioning his career choices, you can see why he might be drawn to a story like this if only he can maintain some sense of darkness underneath it all. Either way, I’m sure it will easily make another $1 billion for Disney. Dumbo hits theatres on March 29th; check out the first trailer after the jump and see what you think.
