The Nun Trailer: The Conjuring Gets Another Spin-Off

We’ve had two Conjuring movies and two Annabelle movies so far (with more still to come) but now we’re getting another new addition to the so-called “Conjuring Universe” with The Nun. Directed by Corin Hardy (The Hallow) and produced by James Wan, the movie gives us the story behind that creepy nun that Lorraine Warren kept seeing in The Conjuring 2. It takes place in 1952 Romania where a nun, a Catholic priest and a novice sent by the Vatican investigate a mysterious death at a monastery. Demian Bichir stars along with Vera Farmiga’s sister Taissa, although her character does not seem to be connected to Lorraine Warren in any way. The Nun hits theatres on Sept. 7th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

If you were going to mashup a clown and a nun together, certainly they could come up with a better story. This trailer was so lame and predictable. No tension, no jump scares, no good music, no interesting characters.

I’m predicting this will be one of the worst horror movies ever – much like The Snowman (2017) – and I can’t wait to laugh my ass off at it.

Wish FJ would review some downright crap films once in a while.

Apparently the nun is played by the same actress who was scary bum behind diner in Mulholland Drive.
