On top of that, none of the trailers were that great and, yeah, no one was really asking for a Han Solo movie…especially without Harrison Ford.

But I have to admit, I thought it was mostly fantastic. There were a couple of things I would have changed, and yes, it’s still totally unnecessary, but given all of that, I thought it was the first thing Disney’s done that had the spirit of the original trilogy in it. And it was good to have some romance and unabashed *fun* back in a SW film. It figures that this would be the one that would bomb. Truly disappointing, as I thought it was about 75% perfect.

I thought the advanced tickets sales had this movie projected at 145? I guess that was wrong too.

Either way I do think TLJ backlash had some part in this movie not performing. To be honest I was surprised how bad the backlash was and how there was so much of it. I thought I was the only one that did not enjoy TFA or TLJ for that matter, but there seems to be quite a bit of backlash from a sizeable portion of the SW community.

I’m gonna see this movie anyway out of curiosity. Plus I like Chewie!
