New to Theatres This Weekend: Solo: A Star Wars Story, Mary Shelley, How to Talk to Girls at Parties

Heading into the long weekend in the U.S., we’ve got just one wide release hitting theatres… obviously someone told them the odds of going up against Solo: A Star Wars Story. The Han Solo prequel is looking to blow open the box office and potentially set a new record for the Memorial Day weekend although it does face some stiff competition, particularly from Deadpool 2. Still, this is Star Wars we’re talking about and expectations remain high, at least within the realm of Rogue One. Elsewhere, in select theatres we’ve got a pair of Elle Fanning films as IFC is releasing the biopic Mary Shelley and A24 is releasing John Cameron Mitchell’s Neil Gaiman adaptation How to Talk to Girls at Parties. What will you be watching this weekend?
