Skyscraper Trailer #2

There aren’t many actors today who can carry a blockbuster that isn’t based on a comic book or pre-existing brand, but obviously Dwayne Johnson is one of the few. His upcoming summer entry Skyscraper arguably does not have much of a hook aside from his mere presence, but I suppose the similarities to Die Hard can’t hurt. Johnson plays a U.S. war veteran and FBI security expert who is called in to assess a skyscraper in Hong Kong only to become the prime suspect when the building comes under attack by terrorists. His family also happens to be caught up in the chaos, which makes it even more personal. Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Central Intelligence), the movie also co-stars Neve Campbell, Pablo Schreiber and Noah Taylor. Skyscraper hits theatres on July 13th; check out the new trailer after the jump and see what you think.

Thank god I watched this trailer – now there’s absolutely no reason for me to watch the film. Looks bloody awful.
