Monday Morning Box Office Report: Infinity War Becomes the Fifth Highest Grossing Movie Globally

The Avengers: Infinity War continues to climb the box office charts, this week passing the original Avengers to become the fifth highest grossing movie of all time globally. The movie has now earned $1.6 billion worldwide and will likely pass Jurassic World in the near future to take fourth place as well. It has also made $548 million domestically, putting it at #8 on the all-time domestic list as well. Things will get a little more difficult next week, however, with Deadpool 2 hitting theatres. In second place, the Melissa McCarthy comedy Life of the Party debuted to $18.5 million, which is a little less than expected and a few million below her previous films Tammy and The Boss. Breaking In opened in third with $16.5 million while Overboard and A Quiet Place rounded out the top 5. Elsewhere, Black Panther is still in the top 10 after 13 weeks and maintains a significant lead on The Avengers: Infinity War domestically.

    Where’s the love for RBG?

Side note, Richard Dreyfuss is doing a Q&A before a screening of Jaws May 20th. Is $150 too much, too little, or just right for a selfie with Dickie D?
