Tremors Unaired TV Pilot Trailer Starring Kevin Bacon

Last month, Kevin Bacon revealed via Instagram that Syfy had opted not to move forward with a new Tremors TV series, dashing his hopes of returning to the horror-comedy franchise over 25 years later. Now this week he has shared a trailer for the pilot that they filmed (directed by Vincenzo Natali), perhaps as a way to drum up interest for a move to another network. Sadly, although there was speculation that Fred Ward might also be returning, he does not appear in the trailer as far as I can tell. Neither does Michael Gross, who has been carrying on the franchise with a slew of DTV sequels (including the recently released Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell). In fact, those DTV sequels seem to be completely ignored by the plot of this TV show. Are you disappointed that the Graboids won’t be returning on the small screen? Check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

I’d be willing to see more of this. It looks like it could be great fun.

I love Tremors and I love Vincenzo Natali, but that glimpse of the monster that looked more like the worm that ate Andy Serkis’ head in Peter Jackson’s King Kong than a classic Graboid looked bad. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Damn, didn’t realize they got Bacon back for this. Should have just done another movie.

  • Lori Cerny

Agreed. Don’t waste the Baconator on TV.

Is there an actual pilot episode or just a trailer filmed ? I’d love to see it.
