Action Point Trailer Starring Johnny Knoxville

On some level, you have to respect Johnny Knoxville. At age 47, he is still trying to sustain a career that was built on the one skill that he is known for: a willingness to hurt himself on screen. Jackass 3D may have been the final hurrah for the Jackass crew, but he has continued to soldier on first with the Borat-style comedy Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa and then with appearances as the zany sidekick in the action movies The Last Stand and Skiptrace. Now he is back with a strange mixture of all of these things, a comedy called Action Point. It is seemingly framed as the back story to the Bad Grandpa himself, Irving Zisman, who ran a rickety, unsafe theme park in his younger years. The movie apparently features real stunts and Jackass star Chris Pontius is also along for the ride, but it still seems like a pretty poor substitute for another Jackass movie. Action Point hits theatres on June 1st; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
