Although I didn’t enjoy the first Wreck-It Ralph movie as much as I wanted to, the idea still seemed like a good one with more potential yet to be tapped. I was hoping that the upcoming sequel might be an improvement, but now that I’ve seen the first trailer I am having serious doubts about that. The movie is called Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 (yes that’s the actual title) and it expands the scope of Ralph’s world as he and Vanellope von Schweetz travel online in search of a replacement part for her game. They encounter some “citizens” of the internet, known as “netizens”, including the founder of a website called BuzzzTube. Ugh. Apparently it also features cameos from all of the Disney princesses, because why not? This looks a lot like The Emoji Movie and seems to be aiming at a younger audience so maybe I’m just out of the loop. Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 features the voices of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Taraji P. Henson, Jack MacBrayer and Jane Lynch and it hits theatres on Nov. 21st. Check out the first trailer after the jump and see what you think.
