Up until now, The Incredibles 2 was one of the few 2018 summer blockbusters that had yet to receive a proper trailer. Rather than releasing something during the Super Bowl, however, Disney and Pixar apparently decided to wait for the Winter Olympics to kickstart their marketing campaign. Last night they debuted the first full trailer during NBC’s Olympic coverage and it confirms (among other things) that the sequel picks up right where the last movie left off 14 years ago. From there, the plot seems to flip the script from the original with Elastigirl being the one recruited to do some “off the books” superhero work and Mr. Incredible getting himself into a Mr. Mom situation with the kids. It all seems a bit obvious and yet entirely appropriate. The Incredibles 2 is directed by Brad Bird and it hits theatres on June 15th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
