After making a name for himself internationally with the tense zombie thriller Train to Busan, Korean director Yeon Sang-ho is looking to crack yet another oversaturated genre with his next film. Psychokinesis is essentially a superhero movie that revolves around a middle-aged man who discovers that he has superpowers and sets out to save his daughter. However, it is also a black comedy that feels sort of like a wackier version of Hancock. Netflix picked up the rights last year but before they release it, the movie it will hit theatres in South Korea on January 31st. Psychokinesis stars Ryu Seung-ryong (Miracle in Cell No. 7), Jung Yu-mi (Train to Busan), Do-yoon Kim (The Wailing), Shim Eun-kyung, Park Jung-min and Kim Min-jae; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
