Although Jim Carrey has been making headlines for some unfortunate reasons as of late, here is an upcoming documentary that takes us back to a time when he was one of the biggest actors in Hollywood. The movie is called Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond and it focuses on the making of Man on the Moon, the 1999 Andy Kaufman biopic directed by Milos Forman. During production Carrey remained in character as either Andy Kaufman or Tony Clifton at all times, which frustrated the cast and crew and (if Carrey is to be believed) messed with his own head a fair bit too. It is a fascinating and hilarious watch, combining wacky behind the scenes footage with more sober recent interviews featuring a much more mellow and melancholy Carrey. Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond is directed by Chris Smith (American Movie) and hits Netflix on Nov. 17th. Check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
