I like Vikander but I still think it should be a brit. Kinda hoping against hope that it’ll be good, it doesn’t seem like it should be this difficult to make a good Tomb Raider movie.

My initial feeling after watching the trailer was that Vikander is miscast. Jolie had the attitude and the looks. This seems pale in comparison. I also found it funny how the trailer seems to make a point that Lara Croft is played by an Academy Award Winner. I like the games, but seriously, I would call this a downgrade, not an upgrade.

As in any critique of a trailer, I’m prepared to eat my hat if the actual movie proves me wrong.

I predict this will bomb. Although I kinda appreciate them trying to recreate sequences and visuals from the game. But I don’t buy Alicia Vikander as Lara.
