Although Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Hollywood comeback has been pretty hit and miss so far, we’ve seen him attempt to branch out beyond pure action movies with a some dramatic roles as well. What he hasn’t been doing, however, is much in the way of comedy, which is a bit surprising given that he had some big comedic hits back in the ’80s and ’90s. His next movie will rectify that by teaming up with former SNL star Taran Killam, who is writing and directing a mockumentary called Killing Gunther. The movie revolves around the world’s greatest hitman who is so despised by his peers that they team up to try and put him into permanent retirement. With a cast that includes Cobie Smulders, Bobby Moynihan, Allison Tolman and Aaron Yoo, it feels a bit like the recent first-person action movie Hardcore Henry. Killing Gunther hits Ultra VOD on Sept. 22nd followed by limited theatrical release and full VOD release on Oct. 20th. Check out the trailer after the jump.
