I understand KK and LK wanting to hire hot young talent but I never understood the choice of Lord and Miller. Yes they oversaw and started two big time franchises that were…comedy. And yes its wrong to typecast by genre but when the big honcho KK states that one of your inspirations for the look and feel of the movie is painter/sculpter Frederic Remington, your think of Lord and Miller? Really? And you wonder why there were clashes.

Interesting about these DGA Rules. It seems like Kasdan would have been the choice, especially considering he was the guy the studio sided with about the vision of the movie. But because of dumb union rules we’re stuck with Ron Howard. Great.
