Annabelle: Creation Trailer

Following up on last week’s wildly successful creepy clown trailer, Warner Brothers has also released the first trailer for their next creepy doll movie, Annabelle: Creation. Similar to other recent period horror prequels like The Conjuring 2 and Ouija: Origin of Evil, this movie takes place in the 1950s and revolves around Annabelle’s creator, a dollmaker who recently lost his little girl and welcomes a nun and several girls from a shuttered local orphanage into his home. Of course, the first Annabelle was also a prequel to The Conjuring, taking place in the ’70s. That movie was directed by John R. Leonetti (Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, The Butterfly Effect 2), but this installment is potentially trading up with David F. Sandberg (Lights Out) at the helm. Annabelle: Creation hits theatres on Aug. 11th; check out the first trailer after the jump and see what you think.
