    If I remember correctly, we checked this at episode 500 and they were ahead on episode count but we had started a couple months earlier than them.

    Yeah you guys don’t have the luxury of being on the radio and getting fill in guest hosts whenever you guys can’t make an episode.

    just get Reed to fill in in a pinch. I’d listen to a Reed monologue episode.

    I loved the podcast trivia segment on the 600 episode.

    Maybe you could have a regular movie trivia segment with Skyped listeners on future episodes and have Reed host it again. He was great.

    There does not appear to be a clear definition of it so it is debatable.

    I’m with Frank on this. I would always take a plot twist as meaning that something that you had been led to believe throughout the course of a movie turns out to be false. e.g. Bruce Willis was dead the whole time / The guy you’ve been interrogating is Keyser Soze.

    In the mist the possibility that they may be saved or survive is there for the whole film, even if it does appear increasingly unlikely.

    The shocking revelation in this scene at the end is confined to this scene. It is unexpected and shocking but everything that came before it was exactly as it appeared.

    If a shock like this is a twist then it means any shock is a twist. It means a jump scare is a twist. It means that an audience expecting a killer to walk in through the door and it turning out to just be a friend or a cat is a twist.

    Just re-listened to this episode and I share your sentiments exactly. I was glad you lost it on Frank because he was being really stubborn, obfuscating constantly, and just generally coming across as a stupid person (which he isn’t, making it all the more frustrating!). He basically sounds like a Trump supporter who wilfully fails to understand reason and logic.
