Ok, I’ll give you dark (I should have said melancholy but it was too hard to spell). But I’m sticking with brooding. Well, it’s my music to brood to anyway (particularly Memories of Green). Good to know there are some other Vangelis fan boys out there We can only hope he comes back for Chariots of Fire 2: Feel The Burn.

Looks awesome and very, very much like BR in tone and premise.

I am (slightly) concerned that the story will not be as layered or meaningful as BR.

Vangelis score was not …dark and brooding …more…Vangils. And the End Title Music is not typical for the rest of the score.

It need´s a kind of Jazz meet Tangerine Dream (Zeit – Encore) meet Front 242 (Offical Version – Front by Front). Fear we will get “dreg”. run of the mil score.

An abandoned Korean hotel, a dog (Artificial? Of course!) and the potential for a fully CGI’d Rachel who’s got more charisma than Sean Young’s original. Should be intriguing.

Looks like they’ve already settled for Jóhann Jóhannsson who admittedly did an awesome job with Sicario but everything else he’s done went unnoticed. Icelandic people have a knack for embracing a dark and brooding tone so maybe he’ll nail it. Be great if he goes 80’s synth (it won’t feel like Blade Runner if he doesn’t).
