Arriving just in time to play in theatres alongside Doctor Strange this weekend, here is the second official trailer for the next DC Universe movie: Wonder Woman. The movie stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, an Amazonian princess on the remote island of Themyscira who is drawn into the world of man when an American pilot crash lands nearby. The new trailer comes across sort of like Thor meets Captain America, mixing the fantasy setting of Diana’s home with the old school military action of WWI. Of course, it also feels very much like a comic book movie, particularly with the long awaited reveal of at least one of the movie’s primary villains. Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster) and it hits theatres on June 2nd; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

    Apparently they had a terrible time getting usable takes from Gadot. Impending disaster incoming.

  • I don’t have very high hopes for this. I’ll just wait and see what the first reviews say before deciding to go see it or not.

    Man I so want to have a great WW movie but the more I see the more I get really worried…and I am sorry but Gadot has no screen presence. She’s nice to look at, but not a great or even decent actress. Plus the dialogue seems really corny and the cinematography is very very not special.

    Sigh, this DC Universe is really really not working for me.

    “Well, it wasn’t meant to be Shakespeare….” you are so right Mrespony..but can someone in Hollywood just give me some decent dialogue in this movie! LOL!
