Following their release strategy for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice earlier this year, Warner Brothers has officially announced a new Extended Cut of Suicide Squad that will be rolling out on Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray over the next couple of months. Although David Ayer did say that he was completely satisified with the theatrical version of the movie, there were plenty of scenes left on the cutting room floor… in particular, a lot more of Jared Leto’s Joker. The new version of the film should restore at least some of that footage and now we’ve got a short teaser to prove it. While the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman did address many of the plot issues within the film, it is unclear if Suicide Squad will benefit from a longer run time (13 additional minutes, to be exact). Either way, it’s a pretty brilliant way for Warner Brothers to add to the $739 million that the movie has already made worldwide. Will you giving Suicide Squad another shot? The Extended Cut hits Digital HD on Nov. 15th followed by a DVD and Blu-ray release on Dec. 13th. Check out the teaser trailer after the jump.
