After working together on Lone Survivor and Deepwater Horizon, director Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg are once again teaming up for another tense true story that celebrates American courage and heroism. Patriots Day tackles the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the subsequent manhunt to catch the terrorists behind it. Some might say it is still too soon to bring this story to the big screen, but the fact that Wahlberg is a well-known Boston native should help smooth that over. The cast also includes J.K. Simmons, Kevin Bacon, John Goodman, Melissa Benoist and Michelle Monaghan. Patriots Day hits select theatres on Dec. 21st and opens wide on Jan. 13th; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
