This Week on DVD and Blu-ray: Warcraft, The Shallows, The Neon Demon

It’s a pretty packed week for DVDs and Blu-rays as we’ve got four major studio releases (all of which are available in 4K) plus plenty of genre goodness as we head into October. The biggest releases of the week are Duncan Jones’ video game adaptation Warcraft and shark thriller The Shallows plus a pair of summer comedies: Central Intelligence starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates starring Zac Efron, Adam Devine, Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza. We’ve also got Nicolas Winding Refn’s stylish horror-satire The Neon Demon and Taika Waititi’s Hunt for the Wilderpeople (on DVD only). On Blu-ray, we’ve got Valley of the Dolls and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls plus new releases for Highlander and An American Werewolf in London as well as Bill & Ted’s Most Excellent Collection (which includes Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey for the first time in HD). ’80s horror fans will also want to keep an eye out for Chopping Mall, Blood Diner and Slugs. What will you be picking up this week? Check out the full list of noteworthy releases after the jump.
