Nocturnal Animals Trailer Starring Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal

Amy Adams has two movies playing at TIFF this week that have people whispering about her award season chances. The first is Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival and the other is Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals. Ford directed the 2009 film A Single Man and now he is back with his sophomore effort, a noir-ish thriller about an art gallery owner (Adams) who is drawn into the world of a novel written by her ex-husband (Jake Gyllenhaal). Some reviews have dismissed this film as style over substance, but the haunting visuals definitely look like something that will stay with you afterward. Nocturnal Animals co-stars Armie Hammer, Michael Shannon, Isla Fisher, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Laura Linney and it hits select theatres on Nov. 18th; check out the first trailer after the jump and see what you think.
