With the premiere of HBO’s Westworld now just over a month away, the network has released a new trailer for the upcoming sci-fi series, which is based on the Michael Crichton film of the same name and executive produced by Jonathan Nolan and J.J. Abrams. The new trailer makes it clear that Evan Rachel Wood’s character Dolores is pivotal to the show and that her relationship with Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins) is not a pleasant one. That being said, for a trailer that is labelled “Mature” and a show that was reported to have some controversial sex scenes, they still seem to be hiding most of the darkness just beneath the surface. Either way, Ed Harris looks like an inspired choice to fill the shoes of Yul Brynner as the Gunslinger.
