Klown Forever Trailer

klownforever

R-rated comedies continue to be hot in Hollywood these days, but let’s be honest, most of these Hangover clones stopped being shocking a long time ago. If you’re looking for something that truly pushes the envelope you probably want to look overseas. Over the past few years, movies like Klown, Wetlands and Look Who’s Back have been successfully mining taboo subjects for laughs, and now Danish comedians Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen are back with a sequel to Klown called Klown Forever. The movie actually seems to be taking the piss out of Hollywood as it finds Casper leaving Denmark to pursue a solo career in Los Angeles with Frank trailing behind, attempting to win back his friend. It all feels a bit like Borat and Bruno, although whether it will translate to U.S. audiences remains to be seen. Drafthouse Films will again be releasing it in stateside and the new trailer even promises an appearance from Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones). Klown Forever hits select theatres and VOD on Sept. 2nd; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

Frank Hvam is in Game of Thrones as well. Can you spot him?

OK that was funny I’m in.

For me it was a disappointment – it isn’t nearly as good as the first movie. Watch the TV show instead, it’s hilarious.
