New to Theatres This Weekend: Jason Bourne, Bad Moms, Nerve

moviesjasonbourne

One of the more highly anticipated sequels of the summer hits theatres this weekend as Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass make their triumphant return to the Bourne franchise. Still, the lacklustre reviews may keep Jason Bourne from hitting the same numbers as The Bourne Ultimatum, by far the most successful entry in the series to date. Also hitting theatres we have the R-rated comedy Bad Moms starring Mila Kunis, Kathryn Hahn and Kristen Bell, as well as the Emma Roberts / Dave Franco thriller Nerve. Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman also have a second film hitting select theatres this weekend: the zombie outbreak film Viral. Also in limited release, we have the Netflix-acquired drama Tallulah starring Ellen Page, Equity starring Anna Gunn, and the documentary Gleason, about former NFL star Steve Gleason’s battle with ALS. What will you be watching this weekend?

really wish Tony Gilroy had written the script for this Bourne. He was missed.

I remember seeing The Bourne Legacy with my dad in theatres for my birthday. When it was finished I told him that I thought it was terribly written and he got mad at me. He told me that people work really hard to make movies and that my opinions on movies don’t mean anything. I was very shocked. However, with this upcoming news about the Rotten Tomatoes petition I have a clearer vision of my father’s stupidity.
