This week’s DVD and Blu-ray releases include a couple of the best movies from the first half of 2016 but much else beyond that. The two must-have titles are Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some!! and Jeremy Saulnier’s Green Room, while the biggest mainstream release of the week is The Divergent Series: Allegiant. On Blu-ray, we’ve also got the Criterion release of Herk Harvey’s 1962 cult classic Carnival of Souls and Arrow is releasing Ken Russell’s Crimes of Passion and Synapse Films offers up Just Desserts, a documentary about the making of Creepshow.
