Goat Trailer Starring Nick Jonas and James Franco

You might assume that a new movie involving fraternities and starring James Franco would be just another R-rated party comedy, but in the case of Goat, you’d be wrong. Directed by Andrew Neel (Darkon) from a screenplay by David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express), this is an indie drama that explores the dark side of frat hazing rituals. Based on the memoir by Brad Land, the movie stars Ben Schnetzer (Punk’s Dead: SLC Punk 2, Warcraft) as a 19-year-old boy who is recovering from a terrifying assault and decides to pledge the same college fraternity his brother (Nick Jonas). There he finds that he must endure increasingly twisted and brutal forms of torture all in the name of brotherhood. Goat hits select theatres and VOD on Sept. 23rd; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
