New to Theatres This Weekend: The Conjuring 2, Now You See Me 2, Warcraft

Two more sequels arrive in theatres this weekend, although whether or not they are sequels anyone wanted remains to be seen. James Wan’s The Conjuring 2 seems to be earning solid reviews and is the early favourite to top the box office, although Now You See Me 2 could end up surprising, especially with the addition of Daniel Radcliffe to the cast. The other major release is Duncan Jones’ Warcraft, which is looking to break the video game adaptation curse although the early buzz indicates that it may not have been successful. In select theatres, we also have the documentary De Palma, which features director Brian De Palma reflecting on his career, plus the Diary of a Chambermaid remake starring Lea Seydoux and well-received indie drama King Jack. What will you be watching this weekend?
