Stranger Things Trailer: An ’80s Sci-fi Adventure Series from Netflix

From Super 8 and Midnight Special to Turbo Kid and Earth to Echo, movies that pay tribute to the Amblin sci-fi adventure flicks of the ’80s have become increasingly trendy as of late. Now Netflix is bottling up ’80s nostalgia and delivering an entire TV series based on this concept. The first trailer for Stranger Things has arrived online, their upcoming supernatural drama that takes place in 1980s Indiana where a young boy mysteriously disappears and strange supernatural forces may be to blame. Created by The Duffer Brothers (Wayward Pines), the show stars Winona Ryder and Matthew Modine along with a cast of mostly unknown kids. Hey, as long as those kids are riding their bikes through the woods every episode, I know I’ll be watching. The first season of Stranger Things arrives on Netflix on July 15th, 2016; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
