Last month Netflix released Mike Flanagan’s Hush, a horror film featuring a deaf protagonist. This summer, Don’t Breathe will deliver a slightly different version of this scenario where a group of thieves are trapped in a house, being stalked by a blind man that they intended to rob. The bad ass blind man is played by Stephen Lang (Avatar), which is a pretty solid selling point on its own, but the fact that it is being produced by Sam Raimi and directed by Fede Alvarez (the same guy who directed the Evil Dead remake) makes it even more interesting. I have to admit that the trailer kind of alternates between being suspenseful and downright laughable, but Sam Raimi generally knows how to walk that line and something tells me this could be a fun night at the drive-in either way.
