Film Junk Poll: What is the Best Marvel Movie?

With Captain America: Civil War hitting theatres this past weekend and earning rave reviews from many fans and critics, it once again feels like the latest Marvel movie is always somehow considered to be the best comic book movie ever made. But is this actually the case or is it just an example of people temporarily getting caught up in the hype? I thought this might be a good opportunity to take stock of Marvel’s track record so far and find out which movie is currently considered to be their best work to date. We’re only talking Marvel Studios films here (no Spider-Man or X-Men movies) so that’s a total of 13 movies starting with Iron Man back in 2008. I am curious to see if Marvel is still continuing to improve in most people’s minds or if they’ve already peaked and are now merely treading water. What do you think is the best Marvel movie to date? Cast your vote in this week’s poll and then sound off in the comments below.

Speaking of Marvel is there any chance of the podcast being posted today?

  • Sean

There is a chance. It still needs to be edited.

For me it’s the first Cap, actually. I feel like it’s the most heroic and fun movie. First “Avengers” is the close second. Iron Man would be the third.

Guardians. /lock thread, delete website, kick dog

It’s so hard to choose one bland mediocrity from another.

The first CAPTAIN AMERICA is the one I enjoyed the most but that still wasn’t anything great.

I was a bit underwhelmed by Guardians. The raccoon worked a bit better than I expected.but there was little chemistry between the team. Maybe I need a rewatch but I though the first Iron Man was closer to what I expect a comic book movie to be.
